Students had so much fun learning how to be fur traders and merchants from the 1600's in Wisconsin.
Students were busy making clove apples for their parents. The smell in our classroom gets us in the spirit of the holidays! We hope the clove apple scent will fill the air in all our homes for the coming months!
We had an amazing time this morning at the Kuse Nature Preserve, next door to our school. Students learned about the time in history when Laura Ingalls (the main character and author of Little House) lived. We made crafts, played games and saw many neat artifacts in the log cabin.

As you can see from the pictures, the students and parents are really coming together to help out. We'll update you with totals next week!
As part of our Little House in the Big Woods unit, students brought in ingredients to make a class pan of Johnny Cake. We talked about measurements, oven usage, and enjoyed a warm piece with fresh Maple Syrup on top. It was delicious!

Math class today was super tasty! We used trail mix that the Iditarod mushers would take with them on the long journey, and changed the fractions of items into decimals. Look at the concentration in these 4th graders!
